How to Add a Post to your Website?
Step 1: Go to Post Page
In order to access your website to add a page, you will need to be logged in to your website. If you need help logging in, you can use this tutorial. Once logged in, you will need to click on the link, "Posts" on the left side of the screen.
Step 2: Add the New Post
After clicking the "Posts" link, you will see a page with the title "Posts". Next to the title, there is a button, "Add New". Clicking on that button will bring you to a page, with lots of empty fields. Each field has a label telling you what it is. At the moment, all we need to do is give the post a title, by adding one to the top of the page where it says "Add Title Here".
Once you have a title for your post, scroll down to where the "Discussion" box is. If this box is not on your page, you will need scroll back to the top. Look in the right top corner of the screen. There will be two tabs, "Screen Options" and "Help". Clicking on "Screen Options" will show a dropdown ribbon with lots of settings. Check the "Discussion" setting on that ribbon, and then close it.
Once you have added the discussion box to the page, scroll down, and uncheck "Allow Tracebacks" and "Allow Comments". This will prevent anyone from leaving unwanted comments on your post.
Step 3: Publish the Post
You are now ready to publish your new post. I know it doesn't have any content, but we will deal with that in a minute. On the right hand side of the page, towards the top, click on the blue button labeled "Publish".
Congratulations, you just added a new post to your website. In order to add content to your currently blank post, please use this tutorial.
